Requirements

Matric plus more than 5 years’ experience in Customer Relations and Rental Property Market. Knowledge of the Rental Housing Act, 50 of 1999 and its subsequent amendments, as well as, Regulations and Norms and Standards. Competencies: Communication skills. Research and investigation skills, Problem solving, interpersonal skills and basic conflict resolution.


Duties

Client services including consultation with parties. Determine jurisdiction as required by the Rental Housing Act (as amended) and Regulations. Complete complaint forms; open files and assign reference numbers, send out notices to parties for mediation, schedule mediations, post mediation – if settled, ensure that Settlement Agreements are made Orders of Tribunal; Not settled, refer to the Clerk of the Court for Tribunal hearing to be scheduled. Provide admin support to Information Offices. Complete monitoring and evaluation schedule. Follow up on case progress and manage the case file. Refer Settlement Agreements to be made Order of Tribunal. In the event of non-compliance; ensure that the party receives a CCJ and archive the file.
