Duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership in the planning and management of the Finance and Administration Sub-Division of UFS libraries.
  • Manage and provide financial resources services in a transparent, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Deliver accounting services, ensuring that UFS libraries reduce costs and risks whilst delivering quality services.
  • Deliver administration services pertaining to provision of resources and maintenance of infrastructure.

Inherent requirements:

  • in Accounting or Financial Management
  • Three (3) to four (4) years’ relevant experience.

Required competencies:

  • Strategic planning, development and management.
  • Knowledge and skills in accounting (reconciliations, journals entries, budgeting, reporting and related skills).
  • Human resources management.
  • Financial resources management.
  • Knowledge of labour relations and disciplinary procedures.
  • Development of service level agreement.
  • Quality control and risk management.
  • Report writing and proposals.
  • Innovative and systematic problem solving skills.
  • Sound communication skills in the official language of the University (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
  • Service oriented and interpersonal relations.
