Minimum matric qualification

Minimum two years’ relevant working experience

Computer skills

Good interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans

A valid driver’s license

Public speaking and presentation skills

Time Management skills

Marketing and Communication knowledge

Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans, non-negotiable


Minimum one-year relevant post matric qualification (including but not restricted to marketing or public relations)

Knowledge of TVET sector

Knowledge of Student Recruitment

Student Recruitment experience will be advantageous

Knowledge of course offerings at Boland College

Competencies required:

Recruitment of Students

Conducting school visits, career exhibitions

Following up on prospective students

Write Press Releases

Compiling and grading of media databases

Effective community liaison


Coordinating special Marketing Events

Maintaining and expanding good relations with local institutions

Identify new/improved methods to market and position Boland College as a leading TVET College in the Western Cape


  • Student Recruitment: Planning and executing of student recruitment activities
  • Campaigns: Planning and implementation of media, advertising and registration campaigns
  • Branding: Manage the brand and coordinate brand positioning
  • Corporate Identity: Establish and manage the corporate identity internally and externally
  • Campus Marketing: Identify marketing/recruitment opportunities, conduct marketing/ recruitment activities. Organise / supporting student activities
  • Administrative / Budgetary Control: Manage portfolio expenses and related administration
