About the role
We have an opportunity available for an HC Operations and business as usual HC activities. These are assigned by the Operations Manager and include Business Cycle Activities (e.g. performance cycle), Employee Life Cycle Activities (including on-boarding, progression, retention activities, staff terminations and retirement), as well as ad-hoc advisory activities. At the Senior Associate level it is expected that the individual is able to operate as a team leader for above activities as well as fist level advisory to the business (Management and staff).
Essential skills and experience
Minimum 5 years working experience in Human Capital
Relevant post-graduate HC degree or diploma
HC Certification with in-country professional board
Desirable skills or attributes
Sound understanding of key HC activities and employee life-cycle
Understanding of policies and employment law
Good team-working ability and mind-set
Good attention to detail
Time-management capabilities and ability to provide fast turn-around time without compromising quality
Good communication skills - verbal and written
Ability to operate as an all-rounder
Ability to teak the lead on assigned activities
Experience cycles / Graduate programs:
Deliver the onboarding experience as designed by the CoE
Arrange, prepare and facilitate onboarding
Ensure that the hiring manager receives a checklist of new joiner requirements (assign coach, assign buddy, introduce to colleagues, and discuss responsibilities)
Respond to operations related feedback from new joiner surveys
Provide feedback and input to CoE on improvements required
Ensure onboarding activities adequately prepare staff to deliver and quality requirements are met
Take responsibility for assigned groups of graduates - onboarding, performance monitoring, communications, experience and rotations
Take the lead on the operational requirements for LoS related retention programs (seniors days, interview cycles for retention)
Performance and Salary reviews:
Work with the Operations Manager to prepare performance cycle calendar
Work with HC Communications to prepare performance cycle communications to HC, Partners, Managers and Staff
Work with LoS HCBP to prepare for LoS career round table (moderation) meetings
May facilitate some CRT discussions / record keeping
Ensure transactional staff receive accurate data for increase processing
Provide refresher training/updates to partners/managers on performance coaching
Provide guidance for poor performance discussions (ensure performance improvement plans are in place)
Upskills new People Managers
Provide cyclical updates
IR, Disciplinary and Grievances:
- Review departure survey outcomes and advise LoS HCBP
Conduct exit interviews
- Direct all matters to operations IR for review
Participate in investigations where required
Sit in as HC representative on hearings
Take responsibility for post-hearing activities
Take the lead on qualifying exam results - preparation, processing, communications, post results activities
Monitor qualifications status of staff studying
Participate on and take the lead on assigned annual activities such as GPS, Values and Leave reviews
